  1. I think yours is the best tutorial I've seen on creating a big board. Can I ask - what is the layer of aluminum foil for? Carrie on the Prairie (www.carrieontheprairie.com)

    1. Carrie, the aluminum foil is to protect the wood from steam. I use a lot of steam and I didn't want that to warp the wood.

  2. I have also taken the board alone to a group sewing session. After setting up tables far enough apart so that each of the ends rest on a different table (nothing underneath it) it provides a LARGE legless ironing area. Sure was popular.

  4. The normal intensity of steam burst in most present day models of irons achieves 100 to 150 g for each moment, with the greatest of 200 g for every moment.Best steam irons

  5. And when you get tired and you want to rest for a while you can place the iron in the iron-rest which is positioned at the end of the board and is made of material which can absorb the heat and securely hold the iron rightpicknow Having the right ironing board can make you enjoy ironing and you will find it is no longer a chore to do
